Our counting systems are designed on the base of modern components such as:

• Logic controllers
• Infrared thermal vision cameras
• Diffusion sensors
• Induction loops

To count people, the system uses thermal vision cameras or diffusion sensors mounted above each entrance or a counting location.

For car counting the system uses induction loops placed under the road at each parking access.

Counting devices cover the whole counting zone. The system distinguishes customers both in and out passing the centre or store.

Signals from the devices are being sent to logic controllers using wires. Controllers are usually installed close to counting locations. The controller gathers the data from all detectors and keeps them in its memory for an appropriate time.

Controllers are connected to a local server, dedicated for people counting system, using a transmission loop. At the end of the loop there is an IP converter, which allows connecting to LAN/WAN network. A software for counting system management is installed on the server. It is based on Windows/Flash applications, where reports cam be generated at any time. Reports show, using tables and charts, statistics of people entering and leaving the centre in an hour, a day, a week, a month, etc.

The server automatically connects to the system and reads the historical data. The data are stored in MS SQL database.

The software has a built-in feature of visualization, that allows monitoring the people traffic intensity. The visualization uses colourful arrows representing each counting place, placed on the plan of the object. Colour of each arrow is changing, depending on the number of people passing through each entrance. Under the visualization one can see a table with entrance description and online data on the number of customers.

Another useful feature is the possibility to monitor the number of people in and out passing the object and also people, who are currently inside in real time. The data are shown in a table divided into day, hour and minute. There is also a chart showing present trends in people traffic at each entrance.

The existing software is able to send automatic reports: daily, weekly, monthly (and other, defined by the user) that are sent via e-mail to defined person (group of people). The local server is connected to the Internet and equipped into a software allowing the remote maintenance.
